Koko gives a fair chance for all members to interact and have conversations with other members. The app has four main ways for members to contact each other, and all of it is free of charge. Here are the three main contacting features of Koko:
Tribe
Tribe is the app's search function. It displays all members who are nearby when you turn on the location services on your phone. You can also browse members from different cities if you decide to make use of the basic search filters available.
Messaging
You can start chats with members when you see their profiles on the Tribe list. You are allowed to send one free message to another member if you don't have a mutual crush on each other. However, if you both have expressed interest through the Vote feature, you can chat for an unlimited number of messages.
Like
You can heart any profile that you see on the Tribe tab. By doing so, you mark that member as one of your favorite people on the app. The user will get notified that you sent them a heart, but they can only see it if they are premium members.
Vote
Voting is the main matchmaking feature of Koko. On the Vote tab, a photo of another user will appear on the page. You have to vote whether you're interested in the person or not. Not only that, but you can also let him or her know how interested you are by making use of the different symbols available. However, if you're not interested, you can swipe in any direction to go to the next profile to judge.
The sun means that you have a slight interest, the flame indicates a bit more interest, and the heart signifies undivided attention. The determinant moves to each symbol, the longer you press the vote button.
